The European Senior Tour

will return to Royal Haagsche Golf and Country Club from 24 to 26 June for the second edition of the Van Lanschot Senior Open. After the success of last year's inaugural tournament - the Senior Tour's first visit to The Netherlands in nine years - Englishman George Ryall will defend his title.  

Three former European Ryder Cup captains - Sam Torrance, Ian Woosnam and Mark James - will also make their appearance.  

Scotsman Sam Torrance OBE, is a twenty-one time winner on the European Tour and eight time member of European Cup Ryder teams. He was on Ryder Cup winning teams four times and was the winning non-playing captain of the European team in 2002. Welshman Ian "Woosie" Woosnam OBE has had 29 European Tour wins in his career and was on the European winning team in the Ryder cup six times, captaining the team in 2006. Englishman Mark James has had a long career on the European Tour and captained Europe in the 1999 Ryder Cup. 

Also appearing is Englishman Carl Mason, the highest career money winner on the European Seniors Tour. Mason has had twenty-four tournament victories and headed the Order of Merit three tiimes. 2010 tournament winner George Ryall

The Van Lanschot tournament is part of the European Senior Tour, a professional tour for male golfers aged 50 and over run by the PGA European Tour. In the Pro-Am format at this tournament, the professionals will play with an amateur partner for the opening two rounds, with the final round on Sunday, 26 June being contested by professionals only. The professional players compete for a prize pool of €250,000 and the official Dutch Senior Open title is awarded by the Dutch Golf Federation on Sunday at 4.30pm. 

The Van Lanschot Senior Open will again be held at the oldest club in the Netherlands.The Royal Haagsche Golf & Country Club was founded in 1893 and moved to the dunes of Wassenaar after the Second World War. The Hague club hosted the first Dutch Open in 1912 and then on 18 subsequent occasions in the period up to 1981.

Parking: Free public carpark at Rust en Vreugdlaan, Wassenaar, 800metres from the Royal Haagsche Golf Club. There will be a continous shuttle between the carpark and club between 6.00am and 9.00pm.
