Launch National Mother Millennium Relay in Wassenaar
Mayor Jan Hoekema and Alderman Fred Sanders along with musical star and TV star Antje Monteiro and a large number of pregnant women launched the national Relay in the centre of Wassenaar at the intersection Langestraat and Kerkstraat. To raise awareness of maternal mortality Hoekema Mayor painted a bulging belly of a pregnant women.
